Cookies and Milk for Santa on Christmas Eve
The American tradition of leaving treats for Santa started in the 1930s during the Great Depression, as a way to thank Santa for the gifts he left. Today many families bake special cookies for Santa and even leave carrots for his reindeer. Don’t forget! Santa’s reindeer are flying all over the world pulling a sled full of toys, and they could use a snack—and a refreshing beverage. Kitchen Ink has researched the perfect refresher for reindeer, and we invite you to make this healthy green apple juice for Santa’s hard-working team of nine reindeer. Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen, and Santa’s team leader Rudolph will love it.

1 cucumber, cut into long strips
